svn version still won't start

* still no joy - cannot connect to a running zimbra ... what might I be missing
* I Have gotten 'make allclean all' to complete
* I installed all the RPM's that were created in ZimbraBuild/i386
* mysql starts and runs - I can see the zimbra tables as user zimbra or root
* zmdumpenv

* When I try to run zcontrol start - it echoes the host name then nothing
* There is no zimbra.log created ... /var/log/messages says:
