Angry Looking for help to compile and install ZIMBRA from the source

I'm new to Linux and open source programming. I have been working serveral weeks to compile and install ZIMBRA from the SVN source but still not succeed. I have been following the threads opened by wildhuman. Did anyone ever compile and install ZIMRA from the source independently? Could anybody kindly help me? I'm lost!!!!!

lots of people have successfully compiled zimbra on many different platforms. unfortunately the build docs are very out of date and the svn setup a little quirky, but should be possible. unfortunately, we're not psychic and will need a little hint/logs/debug to help you further.

also, if you're not familiar with linux and opensource, i would say that zimbra is possibly not the easiest place to start!!

dijichi2,

Could you please help me to get through? I mean to work step by step for the compiling and installation procedure? We have been follow the instructions that we can find on this forum and anyweher accessible, but store.rpm and logger.rpm still does not work properly? Can you send me a email to l_y_shi@yahoo.com. Thanks.

When we build ZIMBRA, there are lot of files missing. We have to copy these files from somewhere else. In this way, we manageed to build the tarball. But when we install it, mysql can not start. Follwoing is the log.
