| | | Tasks support Hi,
I read on this forum that "task support" is on your list...
We are very interested in this product but we definitely need task support.
Is there any sight on a date when task support will be supported in Zimbra? |

| | Release date for Franklin? When is the target date for Franklin? I am a voter for this feature and was hoping that it was going to be included for ver 4, but was disappointed when that slipped.
Thanks

| | | task support clarification please I see on your "what's new" for 4.5 "support for tasks in MS Outlook" as a bullet point for the recent 4.5 release, yet in the referenced bug(s) I've been following a developer mentioned task support won't be until 5.0.
Could you please clarify the following, it's really not at all clear on the product info pages:
Are there different degrees of task support planned?, e.g.:
1) synchronizes/passes tasks between server & MS Outlook clients, but doesn't expose a web interface for creating/editing them
2) step 1, plus mobile sync for tasks
3) step 2, plus web interface for creating/editing tasks
What is your current planning, and if the 4.5 release does include, as it says, task support then exactly what is supported? The only symptom I've seen of tasks is the unannounced renaming of the Task folder that already existed in my users Zimbra profiles (note to admins: be cautious about deleting this folder: it can create problems with both server & client: error msgs about "task folder already exists")

| | | Thanks. Mobile task sync is important. Thanks for the quick & clear response.
I'd like to make an emphatic request for mobile task sync to Zimbra server, it will be an enormous help: 20+ of our 30 users are primarily mobile, using treo700p's and SugarCRM more than Outlook or Zimbra web probably.
Currently, tasks can obviously be created in SugarCRM, Outlook (or Evolution), and Treo/palm. We're in the precarious position of a "forked sync" (Outlook<=>SugarCRM; Outlook<=>Treo/HotSync).
Having a central sync (SyncML, anyone?) via Zimbra would result in a major headache reduction & productivity increase.
Thanks again for the clarity!
Now if only SugarCRM & Zimbra would integrate transparently... |

| | Bugzilla! Please think through the functionality you need, search bugzilla to see if someone has already entered an RFE for that functionality, and either vote for the existing one if it's present or enter a new one if it's not. |

| | Assign Tasks outlook connector <-> imap/smtp Hi all,
I am a bit confused. When I use imap/smtp "assign task" is working fine. But when I use the outlook connector I get an error message "Could not complete the operation because the provider does not support it".
Does this basically mean I loose the task function when I use the outlook connector? I am using ZCS 4.5.2 NE trail on Ubuntu and Outlook 2003.
BTW: I am only talking about task assignment in Outlook nothing about Webclient at all.
Cheers
