Theres nothing wrong with my system ( that I know of).
Gziped tarball can be created fine, in fact Gentoo is unrolled from gziped tarball so thats no issue.
I'll keep trying, I may also try a build on another supported platform just to se how it should work.

Also I've already posted the output of the log file. Hear it is again:-

Code:
mkdir -p /home/public/p4/GNR-606/ZimbraBuild/corebuild/opt/zimbra/contrib
cp -R /home/public/p4/GNR-606/ZimbraBuild/../ZimbraServer/src/contrib/* /home/public/p4/GNR-606/ZimbraBuild/corebuild/opt/zimbra/contrib
mkdir -p /home/public/p4/GNR-606/ZimbraBuild/corebuild/opt/zimbra/zimbramon/bin
(cd /home/public/p4/GNR-606/ZimbraBuild/corebuild/opt/zimbra/zimbramon/bin; \
tar xzf /home/public/p4/GNR-606/ZimbraBuild/../ThirdPartyBuilds/Gentoo-BSR1_64/perl/perlbin.tgz)
tar: /home/public/p4/GNR-606/ZimbraBuild/../ThirdPartyBuilds/Gentoo-BSR1_64/perl/perlbin.tgz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
make: *** [/home/public/p4/GNR-606/ZimbraBuild/corebuild/opt/zimbra/zimbramon/bin] Error 2
Thanks

Default Missing perlbin.tgz

Quandt,

I am also getting the same error when I try to build 6.04 in Debian (32-bit).
Maybe, something got messed up in the distribution? I downloaded the dist using perforce following Wiki instructions (GNR on Debian).

Thanks.

Same problem here... Debian Lenny (5.0.5)... I've been following GNR on Debian Lenny - Zimbra :: Wiki and got through quite well, but still got this problem not finding perlbin.tgz

Would like to get this working to test it out...

Sorry to *bump* this, but will it ever get sorted, or do I go back to looking at another product?

What release are you trying to build? I would, for example, stop trying to build GNR-605, given its age. Do things work if you try to build GNR-607 instead?

I built GNR-607 on both DEBIAN5 and UBUNTU10_64 today, and after each build, ThirdPartyBuilds/<OS>/perl/perlbin.tgz existed.

Does that file exist for you?

Apologies - I've just rebuilt the whole thing from the start, and it is now "*** BUILD COMPLETED ***"

ONly thing is, not sure what to do next, as tried going to https://address:7071/zimbraAdmin and it's not found... not sure whether it's all setup properly...

Sorry... didn't realise I had to build the whole thing from within ZimbraBuild... now done that, and hit problems with the java setup (I think)... see new post: http://www.zimbra.com/forums/install...-starting.html
