Default [SOLVED] Problem downloading source code

Hi! I'm trying to take a peek at the Zimbra source code.

I'm following these instructions: Building FRANKLIN on Debian - Zimbra :: Wiki

But the key command is failing in a way I don't understand:

Code:
$ ./p4 -u public -P public1234 -c public-view sync -f //depot/zcs/FRANKLIN/...
Locked client 'public-view' can only be used by owner 'mtromp'.
The error has persisted for a couple of hours. Neither forum searches nor Google turns up much helpful to me. Is this a problem on my end, or on the zimbra.com end of things?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums,

Usually the problem is someone has set the 'host' field, such that your machine's hostname has to match in order to use the workspace. However, this time somehow they managed to create a new user/pass (get perm denied when I try) and moved the workspace's ownership.

In place of 'public-view' for now I've created a 'linux-view', 'mac-view', and 'pc-view' workspaces under the 'public' user. (With common paths like /home/public/p4 and /Users/public/p4 and C:\public\p4 - if using the visual client you'll see see those if you hit browse. (Sometimes you can also create a new workspace if the limit of 5 isn't hit.)

Eventually we'll script/cron a reset of the workspaces, but I don't have the access to at the moment.

Don't know if your trying to grab that branch intentionally for whatever reason, comparison, etc - but just fyi 'Franklin' = ZCS 5.x whereas 'GNR' = 6.x (and 'main' is self explanatory).

Also there's a few source tarballs under sourceforge.net/projects/zimbracommunity/files

Default Thanks!

Really, I just wanted to peek at the code, so I've downloaded a tarball from SourceForge. Thanks for fixing the problem I noticed, and thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Thanks for the fix, but that didn't last long...

now I'm getting:

Remote depot 'depot' database access failed.
TCP connect to depot-zimbra.eng.vmware.com failed.
depot-zimbra.eng.vmware.com: host unknown.

I'm guessing someone added an external or a redirect to a private repo at vmware and now it's trying to get to something that's behind vmware's firewall? (which doesn't really work from outside obviously).

Hello. I'm trying to download sources and I'm getting this message:

./p4 -u public -P public1234 -c public-view sync -f //depot/zcs/GNR-6010/...
./p4 -u public -P public1234 -c public-view sync -f //depot/zcs/FRANKLIN/...
./p4 -u public -P public1234 -c public-view sync -f //depot/...

Remote depot 'depot' database access failed.
TCP connect to perforce-zimbra.eng.vmware.com failed.
