Skin not applied to email message view

I am developing a skin/theme for use at night so their night vision is not impaired too much. To do this I need dark gray or black backgrounds on everything.

I found that the email message view does not utilize the skin. Is there a setting that I am missing?

When I look at the tag for including the css files, I see the following:
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="/zimbra/css/images,common,dwt,msgview,login,zm,spellcheck,wiki ,skin.css?v=090911175909&debug=&skin=venturanight& locale=en_US">

The skin name is part of the url.

In the iframe for the message body the link tag is as follows:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/zimbra/css/msgview.css?v=090911175909">

Here the skin name does not show up. Is this a bug or a setting in the client interface?

This is not a setting.
You can make an RFE on bugzilla about it.

To modify the email message view, you will need to directly modify the file :
/opt/zimbra/jetty/webapps/zimbra/css/msgview.css

But it will modify it for all skins.
