Exclamation Zimbra Toaster Problems

Good afternoon.
I am sorry for my bad English.

There was a problem with a toaster. It does not receive and does not notify on new messages.

Toaster customisations:

Server Name: mail.mydomen.ru
Not Secure Conection

Account: maks
Password ******

Poll interwall - 1 min

Errors any does not arise, but also operations too. He simply is silent.

In mail box customisations the permission for a toaster is included.....

Help please.

Assuming this is on Windows, do you have .NET 1.1 installed? My testing has shown that having .NET 2.x is not sufficient- you need 1.1 (or 1.1 SP1).

Yes, I have installed "Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package" and Service Pack 1 for 1.1

But the problem still exists. Toster simply does not react in any way ((

Would you by chance be using Zimbra proxy? If so, there is a known critical issue with the Toaster:

Bug 38347 – Toaster does not show new messages or popup when new messages arrive

I'm having the exact issue. In fact, I tried Toaster 6.0 first then rolled back to Toaster 5.0.16 and it acts the same. When I tested this against Zimbra NE 5.0.18, all worked as expected.

Thanks in advance.

I put a bug in Bugzilla about it in October of 2008.

Bug 24011 – Toaster arbitrarily reporting new mail

Try poptray PopTray Mail Notifier
It doesn't require .NET garbage and actually works. Note it works with IMAP as well.

Still broken, apparently. Latest and greatest Zimbra. Toaster on XP Pro with all the latest patches.

Mail arrives, no notification; Show new messages doesn't
Trues secure and not secure connection.

Not a huge deal but it would be nice if it worked.

Tried Poptray: Hangs every time. Uninstalled it.

Hello,

I have the same problem with toaster. It's possible that the reason of error is the version of mail server. I have zimbra 6.0.1 network edition .

(sorry my bad english)
