Question How to syncronize with Zimbra?

Hello!
I'm trying to find a solution for syncronizing Zimbra emails and calendar activities with our own Oracle database application which is made with Visual Basic 6. I would appreciate if somebody would be so kind to point me into the right direction where to start? We need to keep up the sync for both directions.

We already have solutions for other email systems, like Outlook and GroupWise which both have APIs which we can use from VB6. But what I have learned from Zimbra, there is not that kind of API??

Also I read that Migration Tool from GroupWise to Zimbra runs on Windows, how does that interact with Zimbra Collaboration Suite? Could that be something we could use?

BR, Maija

Hi, there are many API available for Zimbra. Among the most powerful:

REST:
REST File Formats - Zimbra :: Wiki

SOAP:
SourceForge.net Repository - [zimbra] Index of /trunk/ZimbraServer/docs

You can find lots of examples of how to integrate with just about anything within these forums. Of course, with custom applications such as yours, it will require some custom integration too.
