Post Zimlet how to get attachment out of zimbra

Hi to all,
we are working to get a zimlet to do DND and get the content of email's attachments out of zimbra to be stored in a document managemt software ( like knowledge tree ) writte by our own in python (web.py).
So we do the zimlet with DND, we have the email+attachs in an object but we neet do pass it to the python server.
We don't know ho to get the files from the object and pass them to the other one.
we found the URL of the attachs.
Could someone help us ? how JS could pass the attachs out of zimbra?
Thanks.
Alessandro

Question working?

I know I am waking this sleeping thread up..but it might be useful to many..

Did you get this done yet?
I'm planning on doing something similar; pass some values on to a script running on the zimbra server.

Cool Attachments

Will this solution enable users to re-name an attachment when they click "Briefcase" when downloading an attachement?

Easisest way is to use REST API. After having msgid, do REST request, specifying part 2 (AFAIR part 2 is the attachment). REST specifications you could find in documentation or wiki.
