Thunderbird Appointment Acceptor

I'd like to write a Thunderbird extension that uses some method to accept zimbra appointment invitations. What are your recommendations? Should I use the SOAP interface? Is something already written?

Take a look at SendInviteReplyRequest in ZimbraServer/soap-calendar.txt
