Default Integrated Bugracker with Zimbra?

First, I don't know if this is in the correct forum, and I apologize if it's not.

Second, the question - are there any nice, simple bugtrackers out there which "integrate" in some way with Zimbra? Personally, I really like mantis, so it would be especially preferable (to myself) if there was a way to get mantis to "talk to" Zimbra. I don't know what it would mean to integrate a bugtracker with Zimbra, but it would be potentially nice if it could happen.

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.

Webservices are available in Mantis : MantisConnect

A zimlet can be developped using MantisConnect to get ZCS and Mantis to "talk" together.
What kind of talk would you like between these two ?

Hi Klug,
Thank you for the information. I didn't know about MantisConnect, but it looks pretty neat!

The sort of "integration" my boss was thinking about was something like when a bug is assigned to you in Mantis, a "Task" is opened up for you in Zimbra. When the bug is Fixed/Resolved (or otherwise closed), then the Task is closed in Zimbra. Something along those lines, anyway. I'm sure even a simple "Hey, a new bug was assigned to you" sort of notification would be nice. For a few people in our company, their phones will be their primary form of interaction with Zimbra, so ideally something which will appear on their phones.

Thanks again for the help!

Default look at the com_zimbra_url zimlet

If your bug tracking application supports REST urls then you can very easily customize this existing zimlet com_zimbra_url to link to your bug from an email.

You can also make a copy of this zimlet and customize it a little. It should be less than a weekend project to link from an email to your bug tracker, if that's what you are looking for.

Only requirement is that there should be a bug number and some kind of text preceding that number in the email which informs the zimlet that it's a bug like BUG 435350 then the zimlet can construct a url based on the bug number.

This may not be as efficient as tasks but it works.
