Evolution is the only client IMHO that has a non-trivial (although still tiny) userbase and decent CalDav support. So again it's something we are looking at but for the time are putting it on the back burner until the client landscape and the spec become a bit more widespread. I monitor the CalDav mail list and the traffic is pretty low with parts of the spec/impl under debate.

We're shooting for 1.0 sometime in 2007. We're releasing both Mozilla Sunbird and Lightning 0.3 very soon (and will likely be skipping the even version numbers until 1.0). If you look at the numbers for downloads of Mozilla Calendar and Lightning on addons.mozilla.org, you'll see a pretty large number. However, it is true that our CalDAV support isn't as complete as we'd like.

Default WCAP integration

I'm working on adding Sun's WCAP protocol to Zimbra, which would allow read/ write calendars from Lightning. Come to the wiki page.

Default CalDav coming...

FYI - Zimbra has been working on CalDav in our mainline code base. Goal is to test/release this once iCal has a released version with support. So longer term CalDav may be better than WCAP (I know this is different to what we've said in the past) since with iCal there is a mainstream client that will have support. We'd love to have Lightning/Sunbird use this support as well.

Posted this note to the wiki as well.
