zimbra account id format

Hi

i have seen most of the case zimbra create integer id for each item. but for shared item it creates {userid:itemid}. i seen user id and its like

656042e7-d875-4dec-bcf2-2fcbe4838ced

is there any specific format for creating user-id or any specification used for this.

This is a good question. There are Ids set for different attributes in zimbra, I've posted in another thread too, would like to know how this Id is generated, can we generate a new Id for a zimbra domain or account attribute?
