I'm not sure if this is alreayd a feature of Zimbra , I haven't seen it mentioned on the feature list.

I would like to see that the smtp server can do smtp authentication. If this is already a feature please tell me ...

In the admin console, server section, mta tab, select Auth Enabled and optionally TLS Auth Only
