Default SoapProvisioning / SSL

Hey, we've written a program that utilizes the SoapProvisioning class. At this point, it is fetching data using a URI like:
https://xxx.xxx.com:7071/service/admin/soap/

The URI is being set using the soapSetURI method in the SoapProvisioning class.

The question is in regards to security - is the SoapProvisioning class communicating with the Zimbra server via SSL? I've searched through some of the classes and it looks to me like the SoapProvisioning class is in fact using SSL to communicate with the Zimbra server, but wanted to double check with you guys.

Thanks
