Default Zimbra Plugin

Hi,

I was wondering if it Zimbra supported Plugins in the same way Outlook does. I tried searching on the forum but nothing caught my eye.

I was looking into using a Zimlet, but I noticed that zimlets were not present on the standard HTML page but only on the AJAX page. (Unless I missed it on the demo page.)

What I want to achieve is the following, if it is possible,
.

When a user clicks on "My Plugin", they would be sent to my plugin page. I intend on maintaining the sessions so that they can return to their email and so on without having to log in.

If there is an alternate way to achieve this so that users who use the standard, AJAX and mobile version of the webmail client can also access the web application, I am all ears.

Deployment of my plugin will be through a JAR file placed in zimbra/lib/ext/

If there are posts that talk about this, please point them out and I will continue researching.

Thanks.
