Default Extra user's info

Hi guys, I'm looking for some advices here.
My users are first authenticated in a SSO portail, then they would access Zimbra. The thing is that i want to pass some extra variables about a user context (stored in a PHP session) while he is connecting to Zimbra to access them later from my custom extensions. I was thinking about creating my custom authentication but I'm not sure if that would be the best practice to do that. So if you have any idea, please give me a hint.

Regards

Thanks for your reply.
Actually authentication is not a main problem.
I was just wondering if there is a way, to create some custom user context. (What I think is not possible with preauth).
Can I register (on login) somewhere in Zimbra my additional variables about user (describing his status in my SSO application) that i could use later from my extensions.

I believe there is a notes section within a users profile, certainly from looking at the Admin GUI, perhaps you could use that ? you would need to take a look at the LDAP schema.

Yes indeed there is that section, I think that will be usefull for some of my needs. Thanks a lot.
Still i would have some variables that can have a different value each time a user is connected.
So I'm looking for something flexible that wouldn't require LDAP modification.
Can we add some variables to the user sessions in Zimbra?

You could always create a new table in the ZCS mysql instance, but beware that may disappear across upgrades, and potentially may invalidate any support.
