Default Zimbra API for Flash Platform

Hello guys,

I worked on a little library to communicate with zimbra from flash, flex, air, flash lite, etc.

It's an AS3 library with an AS2 port (uncomplete) that makes the communication and administration of zimbra very easy.

I have been coding ActionScript for 7 years now and have done AS work for a lot of companies around the world including Macromedia, now Adobe. So the code is very optimized and well written.

If you guys want to take a look at it on a very simple video you can check it out here:

http://www.onelx.com/pub/zimbraapidemo.mov

I have already contacted some zimbra guys but they don't seem to be interested on it so i'm posting here in order to see if someone has interest on me finishing it.

Now with the future inclusion of flash player into arm processors (iphone) this could lead zimbra to exist on several environments with the same code library shared between them.

Is this a good idea? Please answer the poll.

Thanks!

There are ways but it is not consistent between flash player versions.

My plan now is to use the as3httpclient library.

Need to rewrite a huge part of the framework unfortunately =/

jayanth, please do not double post questions. You have already asked how to create a user in Java, this is using flash.

Hey fernandoflorez
Its a nice idea that came to your mind..
Reallly i would like to help/contribute in Flash version of Zimbra...It will really look more jazzy with nice Transition effects [as is done in most of the websites / mail clients] ... This will surely make the Zimbra more n more attractive ....
Though i dont know much about action scripts but i think il be able to catch up if APIs are provided .
I recently came accross one f the blogs , probably urs ,
Zimbra Mail ActionScript Library - funciton communications , but the project page u have referred to doesnt seem to exist ..
i am really interested in the same.
Lets Share ideas regarding this to make things better .....
@fernandoflorez : which part are u working on right now ? would u like to share it , if possible ?
@Others : Really need some help here .....

Thanks n Regards
