Default Scan/Filter Incoming/Outgoing Mail

Hey,
I am working on integrating Zimbra with our CRM solution and was wondering if there is a way of scanning all incoming and outgoing mail. Currently our systems looks at the headers of messages going through our system and relates messages to contacts in our system. If a match is found it takes the subject and text or html version of the message and adds it as a history item to that contact.
