Default How to empty store folder safely?

My env: RedHat as5 , oss zimbra509
I made a new partition to save the mails(in /data/store which i created manually).But My /opt/zimbra/store folder still has lots of old mails, I have trid rm command to empty this folder ,but this operation made me crazy , after implememting this command ,when i sign on my mailboxl ,i found it shows i have mails ,but when i click on it , it alerts "mail no found" . Now i want to konw how to empty /opt/zimbra/store folder safely ? Thanks!

What you see in the webmail comes from the SQL database (subjects, recipients, etc).

If you want to empty your mailbox, the easiest way is to delete the account and recreate it.

Default Maybe you misunderstand my mean.

In the webmail , it shows properly as normal mailbox, i can see the right sender , subject ,but when i click on it , it alert an error message . My purpose is to empty the store folder in /opt/zimbra/store safely . and ideas ?
