Default Fedora Core 5 Build Soon?

With the recent release of Fedora Core 5, can we expect a FC5 build soon? With the next dev build of zimbra hopefully? Till then I'll probably compile my own, and see how it runs.

Thanks,
Ben

We've not started it yet. Should be trivial to re-compile but we'll need to setup machines for this. If you run into any issues compiling your own let us know!

I noticed the only source available on sourceforge is a bit dated. Is the best way to get a newer release of the source through CVS?

Yes. We only update the tgz file on Sourceforge from time to time. Mostly at GA release time. If you need something more recent go to CVS.

I have tried to install it on fedora core 5 but I get messages like:
libssl.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
.. So, the ldap server isn't working, yet..

You'll need to recompile. We plan to have FC5 support in the next major release. This also means we'll no longer provide FC3 builds.

Default FC5 Build estimated timeframe

Hi,

I am planning to install Zimbra for one of my clients on a freshly built server. My question to Zimbra team is when the FC5 stable build is anticipated, so I can either hold off a bit or use FC4 instead.

Thanks,
Albl

Use FC4. FC5 builds will be coming after our next release in dev build format. They'll be included as stable in the release after that.

Nope...It should be within a month, but no firm date is set.
