| | | Hi,
I couldn't resolve my problem using a virtualbox, so I decided to restart the work on my host machine (within the binary solution works fine). First, I remove the binary solution, then I applied this tutorial exactly Ubuntu Hardy - Setup Build Environment
And at the end I find the same problem (the configuration of openldap)!
Comparing this install with the binary one, I find that in my install (from source) the /opt/zimbra/conf contain only one file (dspam.conf) and only one directory (spamassassin), but in the /conf of the binary install (I saved all the zimbra directory before removing the binary installation) I find 148 files and 4 directories!!!
Is this normal?
I can't find the problem anywhere!
For the host `hostname` gives me this:
monaco.*****.net is an alias for www.*****.net. www.*****.net has address 19*.***.*.**6
Sorry for the *** but I can't put the exact adresse of a company as it appear for security reasons.
Thanks in advance |

| | hi
i produced the community binaries from ubuntu from that tutorial, so it does work!
are you still trying to do a dev install, or make a full binary package? |
05-14-2008, 02:54 AM
| | | No, I tested the binary solution, it works fine, so I decide to move to the production level by developping "my zimbra"
So I am in the developing level, but I didn't start developing yet because of this error.
For this tutorial, it is about building Zimbra from source...all is went well but at the end..this problem!!! |

| | I don't think this has much to do with building. This is an LDAP problem. Zimbra relies upon ldap for all other services, if it doesn't start, nothing starts.
That's what's happening. So we need to focus there.
What happens when you
