Question IMAP not working with ZCS

Hi,

I have installed a ZCS on Win XP and I am able to now send/receive emails using zMTAHack.pl utility. The problem that I am facing now is that if I set an IMAP connection to the ZCS, it does not seem to work. Outlook just keeps saying that connection could not be established with the server. Can someone tell me how to resolve this issue? I am not able to find anything in ZCS log files about this. Can someone please help? I have checked that IMAP is enabled on the admin console and that the cleartext login is allowed. Thanks.

Make sure you're not already running another IMAP server. Restart the ZCS. Try to telnet from your client box to port 143 (or whichever port you have IMAP configured to listen on) on the ZCS box. Post the IMAP banner that you see.

The issue was resolved. When I installed ZCS on WinXP, the ports for IMAP and SmTp services were set as 7143 and 7025 instead of 143 and 25. So, my outlook was not able to connect on the default port numbers. After I changed to correct values in outlook IMAP account setting, it started working. Thanks for everyone's help on this forum. Zimbra is awesome.

Thanks
