Default Desktop Screen Size

Maybe I'm just a sad user with only a small one (1024x768) but my Zimbra window (Web client) doesn't quite fit. With a maximised screen, I can't reach the "next page" control. The only way is to stretch the window so it is wider than the physical screen, then move the window so that the left hand edge is off the side. See attached screenshot (suitably censored!)

Should there be a scroll control somewhere?

That should be handled by Bug 23449 - Support for 800x600 Screen Resolution on Web Client

Mike, I may have mis-understood but I thought the pre-req for 5.0 was a 1024x768 resolution which wohenben is running ?

Default Version

Thanks for the response.

It's 5.0.4

If I switch to the HTML version, it all fits, so it's the Ajax version with the problem. I just found if I decrease the text size in Firefox, I can get it to fit, but then it's not so easy to read. View -> Text Size -> Normal is what I'm using.

Are you able to install the Tahoma font on the linux box you're using there to see if that makes the difference?

I'm using the Sand/Beach theme on FF2/Windows at 1024x768 and everything fits OK.

Default Tahoma

Yes, with Tahoma 10 as the default (was Sans), it's tight, but it fits. If I page through so the numbers get bigger, the arrow gets perilously near the edge.

I've had a quick look on my Linux box too and realised that it seems to be the "View by" option that causes the number of messages text to become as wide as it does.

View by conversation - OK.

View by message - Too wide.

Yes, I get the same - it displays extra text in the message mode. Well, I can live with a smaller font, but it might be difficult for those with visual impairment, though there are accessibility tools.

One for the developers to think about ...

Thanks for the input.

I've also seen this issue on a 1024x768 screen on a windows pc. The user had over 1000 entries in the inbox (yeah, I know) and that was making the problem worse as "1 to 100 of 1000" is wider than "1 to 23 of 80".

I think I just told the user to change their theme and moved on, most of our other users run screens with 1280x1024 resolution, so I've not seen the problem much.
