Default spell problems: no word advise in IE and wrong characters (á,é,...)

Hi!

i have two problems with aspell. I now its not a Zimbra problem, but i hope somebody has been bumped into theese.

1., Under Internet explorer, with HTML message i havent got any word advise if a word is mispelled. The mouse pointer even don't change to quete mark. If it is a text, or i check it under Firefox everythings fine. What could cause this?

2., I implemented a hungarian dicitonary in aspell. But some character, especially, á-é-ú... is came up wrong. I guess its is some kind of a code page problem. But where?

Could anybody meet problems like this?

thanks for help.

1) In IE when you select 'Spell Check' what happens?

2) Can't really help here, we've not done much testing with alternate dictionaries.

I know it is not a really recreatable problem.
Just could you please give me some info where should i look around?

I see the same spelling problem with HTML mail composing in Firefox 1.5 (SuSE 10). Switch to plain text and the the spell check works fine. In HTML it highlights the misspelled words but doesn't give the pop-up box to select an alternative.

hi

in my situation in IE, when letter is HTML I dont get the suggestion pop-up list. But if letter is plain text its fine.

I have Zimbra over Suse 9.3. I had before Fedora that was fine, but that was an earlier edition of Zimbra. (M2 i suppose)

I have no error messages throw installing. Now i did an upgrade to 3.1.

I have an IE with latin1 codepage. I write words like 'árviz' or 'tükör' i click spell check, and i get '?' or some kind of smybols...
My server is on UTF-8 codepage, its a Suse 9.3

As i get worked out.
When i click on spell check, an ajax call create and call SpellChecker service. I cant find yet how info works flow from service to :7780/aspell.php, but it is got is. Make advices and pass back.
I am really newbie, and i hate codepage problem!!!

How can i call out the menu, what i got during install?
(admin pass, ports, etc,.) i know there is one command for it. But i forget

Hello!

Actually we have the same problem regarding characters like čćžđš in zimbra's spellchecker. The aspell is working ok.

If you run spell test directly on php it handles all characters with ease. I tried custom soap request for spellchecking on the zimbra. then I got these ? signs.

So maybe problem lies in the core? or in a transfer between apache and tomcat?
