Default Helix anticipated release date?

Is there any anticipated release date for Helix (Zimbra 6.0)? I'm not expecting a definitive date because that is almost impossible to give, but something like "First half of 2009" would be sufficient. Only reason I ask is the CEO of the company I work for would like to know because of the slated syncing of shared calendars with Zimbra Mobile. So its merely for informational purposes. Anyone got any sort of clue? Thanks!

The clue could be if you look at the past release dates and work out the likely release date for Helix. Remember, past performance is no guarantee of future release dates.

Three years on and Helix is still hiding... To be fair, we had a lot in 6 last year.
However, without binding anything are we provisionally looking at Quarter 3 this year? Quarter 4 or early next year? Also, will Zimbra Desktop now follow more closely releases of ZCS? Cheers

Product releases aren't pre-announced, you'll see details in the Product Portal when it's getting close and an Announcement in these forums when it's available.

Yes but you should also check the Product Portal for details of what in each release and target release dates.

Looking at the release dates for Frank, Franklin and GunsNRoses on the PM site I've noticed that between Frank's (4.5.0) GA to its last release date (4.5.11) there are 381 days and it's now EOL, while Franklin has been around for 939 and still going strong. GnR is at 328. Counting from the GA date.

Frank went from Beta1 to GA in 67 days, Franklin did it in 210 days and GnR in 138.

There are 349 days between Frank and Franklin's GA dates and 611 from Franklin to GnR.

So what's the point to all this? I'm just trying get some insight into the "past performance" to see if I could gather some idea as to when we might be seeing Helix, even in Beta form. After looking at this I can conclude that I have no clue.

I understand Zimbra (or VMware) can't / won't release dates or a fixed roadmap for when we can expect Helix to be around. I'm just a little eager (aka impatient) to see it. I wouldn't mind a blog entry with some eye candy showing what we can expect to see in ZCS 7 maybe even a short list of features and highlights (* subject to change, of course).
