Default Customizing Search Engine in ZCS Mail

Hi,

I post this short message to ask you if it is possible to change or customize the search engine. For example, i want to use in ZCS Mail another search engine (intranet search engine of my company) but not google or yahoo or others.

Is the policy statement admit this usage? What kind of file must i modify ?

Thanks,

Welcome to the forums.

The answer to your questions is no, Zimbra is built as a package of products and replacing any one of them would be almost impossible due to their tight integration.

I read his question to mean that he wants to replace the 'Yahoo Search' with some other search, not that he wants to integrate ZCS Mail into another app, or replace the internal mail search.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that there was a plan to make the 'yahoo search' alterable, instead of being hardcoded into the app. It is, after all, just a submit to a particular search URL, and a particular icon on the skin, isn't it?

I can't find any information on changing it, but you can disable the Yahoo! search by running, as Zimbra:

Code:
zmprov mc default zimbraFeatureWebSearchEnabled FALSE
And replace 'default' for every COS you've created (if any).
