Oh joy The fun debugging in IE. Can you try it in Firefox and get the full error with line numbers. IE makes it a bit harder without a debugger as you can't get a very detailed message.

As I noted in my last post, I did kind of a non-typical installation (deployed to Geronimo). I went ahead and re-installed under Tomcat. I now am not seeing the JavaScript errors when I run the sample apps.

I don't think I'm going to do any further debugging on this issue. It seems to be more related to my installation than to AjaxTk. Also, the initial page load while using Tomcat seems to be faster than when I run against Geronimo. I think I'll make things simple for myself and stick with Tomcat. :-)
