Default Time zone list

Hi,

I was wondering how (if?) it would be possible to modify in the source code the dropdown list of time zones appearing in the web UI. Eastern Standard Time shows as a default when I set an appointment, but cannot be changed back to EST if I change it, say, to GMT. Furthermore, the list is, in my opinion, a little confusing, not being ordered alphabetically, and containing such items as Newfoundland and Greenland , but not New York, LA nor Paris, which would be quite useful for the company I work for.

Thanks,

François

The list ordered by time zone. +0, +1, +2 etc... The names are the standard names from Java AFAIK.

The list is not the same on the hosted demo, and on my local installation, where I could find Brussel, Paris, etc. Just noticed that. The hosted demo doesn't have EST, but my local installation does.

Thanks

Lightbulb Transparent Timezone Support on web UI

keyword: timezone time zone support web outlook

Hi,

I wanted to ask a question that I am totally not sure if this has been answered somewhere in the forum:

1.) Does zimbra support timezones that fit this description?

- Client A's profile is set to GMT +8
- The server is set to GMT 0
- Client B's profile is set to GMT -8

When client A makes a calendar appointment at eg. (20:00hrs GMT +8) to client B, (Client B gets an appointment that is set to (04:00hrs GMT -8) they automatically get times that are correct to their relative timing. The server would log hours relative to it's time as well. (The server part to me isn't critical, but the client part seems to be a critical issue between scheduling meetings)

That client scenario works fine, we've been doing tests with a Zimbra server in Sydney, clients in NZ, California and all works fine.

ZimbraWebClient\WebRoot\js\zimbraMail\prefs\model\ ZmTimeZones.js

appears to build the display list to timezone table for display
