Default Beta ?

What's the good way to remove/hide the BETA on th splash screen and other pages?

Thanks.

Really need to wait for a non-beta release. It's there for a reason(Zimbra is in beta) and it shouldn't be removed. If you *had* to do it you'd nee to edit quite a few images.

Default beta

You want to remove the "beta" from the screen so that your customers don't know that you're running beta software? Even though you are, in fact, running beta software?

Isn't that a bit... misleading?

Default Zimbra Logic?

For testing, I modified the gif file SplashScreen.gif. The only thing I did was removing the word BETA. But, when I'm logging into Zimbra, the BETA is still on the splash page.

There must be some other logic for displaying the BETA on the splash page. Could you give more details?

Instead of going through every bit of the codes, are there better ways to understand the zimbra programming?

There are both hiRes and loRes may need to change both.

Also please remember that it's a violation of the OSS license agreement to modify or remove the Zimbra logo.

Default Zimbra Logic?

1. I modified the SplashScreen.gif in hiRes and loRes. But the BETA is still on the splash page when I'm logging into WebMail. I think The login is using SplashScreen_blank.gif. However, there's no BETA on the image. As I said before, there's some other logic for splash page. Please give some more details.

2. Are there better ways to understand the logics of zimbra programming, instead of reading every bit of the codes?

Thanks.

Default cache?

1 - Did you clear your cache?

2 - There is no real substitute for reading the code.

I took a quick look. There is some code in ZmSplashScreen.js to edit this you'll need to setup a dev environment as you're going to need to re-generate the compressed JavaScript files. You can see this in CVS ZimbraServer/docs/INSTALL.txt

BTW: Can you tell us some more about your install/deployment? How many users? What are you migrating off of?
