Opening compose window

We know that this works:

But is it possible to open that simple little compose window?
If we try
http://ourserver.com/zimbra/public/launchNewWindow.jsp?skin=sand
we just get a blank page.

Unfortunately, not. Seems like a good idea though -- mind filing a new RFE?
