Default ACL for shared folders

Greetings,

I was looking at the shared folder(addressbook, calendar and notebook) feature of the ZCS. I am using 4.5.6 version. It seems to me that the ACL is stored in database along with folder. Is storing the ACL in LDAP a better and more secure approach rather then storing in database. I don't know if this will have an impact on performance. But storing ACL in LDAP seems a better choice.

Is there any future plans of storing ACL in LDAP rather then in database.
Please update me if my understanding is incorrect.

At some point, we may indeed mirror a list of shared items to LDAP for easier discovery. But the folder lives in the database, and from an architecture perspective it's cleaner to keep the ACL with the item.
