Default [SOLVED] DoesZimbra mail clientsupport safari browser

Hi,
I am using mac-os machine with safari browser-Safari-1.0(v85.5).
When i try to Login to Zimbra mail client(Zimbra 4.5.6.I) using "Advance client"-- it was not allowing to login. But when "basic client" was selected and tried to login , it has allowed to login. But only mail option was there .other Tabs like Calendar was not there or not able to see.

I just wanted to know ,whether zimbra mail client support safari browser with advance client option .

Any input on this will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

For zcs4.5 you should be on safari 2 (though you won't have zimlets and some other things).
If you go all the way to safari 3 you will need to be on zcs5.0

as a follow-up to this, i have 5.0 installed. when i try to access zimbra with safari 3 for mac, it defaults to the basic html version. i can select ajax version and it works just fine (haven't found a single problem).

i was wondering what i can do to have it automatically use the ajax version with safari 3. i'm assuming there's a file somewhere that says "if your browser isn't one of the following, suggest html version." if that's the case, what file/where?

if not, does anyone have any idea how i can change this behavior?

thanks,

d.

Is it just on 'default' or is it actually selecting 'standard'?
Check your preferences tab > general tab > login using: ajax vs standard option to be sure it's set right.
Logout, clear your browser cache, close your browser & revisit.
-I'm not on a mac to test - but you can still post safari & zcs version info

it's not a "default" thing. i've been using firefox and it works just peachy, but i decided to start using safari when i upgraded to leopard.

in preferences, it's set to login using "default" (which is ajax), and it always does this *unless* i'm using safari. when pull up the login page with safari, it automatically selects "standard (HTML)." when i change it to "default" it will let me, and logs me in to the ajax interface. when i change it to "Advanced (Ajax)" it will let me, but gives me the following warning in a yellow box:

Note that your web browser does not fully Support the advanced version. We strongly recommend that you use the Standard client.

i'd definitely like to point out that this is an annoyance that is NOT stopping me from using the program, but it is an annoyance that i would like to find a way around.

I've been using OSX with Zimbra for a couple of years with Safari and never noticed any issues with it. My Powerbook currently runs leopard with safari 3.0.4 with NE 5.0.0
