I have my computer setup to talk to me. Well that's what everyone here thinks. I have just got a number of phrases converted to WAV files, and various bits of software including a web page play these to keep me informed.

This got me thinking. Why doesn't Zimbra have any sound ability. If my network monitoring web page, can play sounds when events happen, I'm sure that Zimbra should be able to.

This would solve my problem of calendar events not being noticed while the the page was wasn't at the front. And I'm sure it could also remove the need for the toaster that doesn't seem to work on most of my users machines.

I checked, and there was a Bugzilla created a long while ago (9425), but thought I'd try and stir up some interest from people in here.

You can get email notification sounds with Zimbra Toaster.. It would be cool if the toaster supported calendar alerts too..

(Or if the web client made noises! )

If you do add sounds, FTLOG please let us turn them off, too
