No more need to find a way to extract the contact lists from TB to feed them into Zimbra.. Too easy 8)

I'm speaking of this : Import contact lists from thunderbird / Mozilla

Fantastic - i now have thunderbird integrated with IMAP mail, Calendar and Address book back to Zimbra. Pretty much everything I needed.

All works like a charm.

Now have all my contacts within my zindus/Emailed Contacts list, as well as a calendar that I can now update through Thunderbird, and email.

Thunderbird is nice and simple and fast, way quicker than the bloated Outlook i was using (prior to the move from Windows to Ubuntu).

Well done to all the guys who wrote this stuff. well done.

Default Zindus 0.6.17

Zindus release 0.6.17 introduces support for Zimbra 5.x.

The extension now works with:
- all Zimbra Versions: 3.x, 4.x and 5.x and
- all Zimbra Editions: Open Source, Network Edition etc

This release also includes a collection of minor bug fixes, see the release notes for details.

I'm glad people seem to like Zindus ... and to those folks who have installed it and provided feedback - thanks!

Excellent work indeed. Only completed limited testing so far, but I am very impressed.

Like the others who have posted here I now have Thunderbird neatly integrated with Zimbra and a viable desktop interface to Zimbra for my users, regardless of platform :-D

Looking at:

Thunderbird & Lightning - Zimbra :: Wiki

Were you able to get past some of the integration issues with Thunderbird/Lightening and Zimbra? I'm referring to some of the additional notes in the "Thunderbird/Lightning Config" section from bjquinn:

Quote:
(note from bjquinn: For at least ZCS 4.5.8, there's also a problem in Lightning with appointments created or changed on Zimbra. Once Zimbra changes an appointment, or was the original creator of an appointment, Lightning can no longer update that appointment. Changes in time, etc., revert back to what Zimbra last set it to upon reloading the calendar in Lightning, and the attempted change is never reflected on the Zimbra calendar.)

That all seems to be fine lately - it's the 'have to mark status canceled for delete' quirk that remains (based on other threads I've seen).

Default shared addressbooks

A while back someone asked about sync to shared addressbooks. This feature is now available in the Zindus testing release and should be available in the production release shortly.

Today's announcement:
