Java Client for Calendar

Hi,
I am developing a Java client that needs to communicate with the Zimbra Calendar Server. I was wondering if there are any similar codes available (mainly a SOAP/iCal translator)? I am trying to avoid writing that translator. Or is there any way for the server to accept iCal strings directly?

You want to translate from SOAP to java?
You might just want to write your app to send and receive soap communications.

Thanks for the reply. No, I want a piece of code that does the iCal-to-SOAP translation and vice versa. iCalendar protocol is fairly big and I already have a Java client that is capable of handling iCal format, but in order to communicate with the Zimbra server my client has to translate the iCal messages to SOAP which is what I am trying to find a code for.

You can POST the iCal to the REST interface. If you need a Java wrapper around the SOAP interface, please look at ZMailbox.java.

Thank for the hints. Can you please tell me a bit more about the first approach you explained? I am referring to POSTing the iCal to the REST interface. Is this a method which allows a client to communicate with the calendar server using iCal strings? Something like that makes my job a lot easier. If that is the case, can you please tell me where I can find a sample code or some documents to see how it works?

It's as simple as using CURL to post to a particular address. Do a google search on Zimbra and Rest.
