I should clarify - there's no reason ZCS won't work on 2.4 - but since it's an older kernel, we've decided to focus our dev and QA efforts on the 2.6 kernels, which is why we don't ship a binary for RHEL3

+1 for Solaris 10.

I would love to try out Zimbra. I run the latest Solaris bits (newer even than Solaris 10) on my laptop - and I'm heavily engaged in the OpenSolaris open source project. Please, make it happen soon!

Thanks...

Default My vote for Solaris

I wish there was Solaris on the list of OSes, it would have been nicer to vote for instead of just others.

We hear ya! I couldn't possibly list all the OS's out there. I just picked a few that I had heard some requests for.

Once we get a few more ports released I'll post a new poll and list a few more and see what folks think should be *next*.

Default Solaris

+1 (at least) for Solaris.

We have a need to deploy something that looks very very much like zimbra in
the next few months. If we use existing hardware it's likely to be sparc, but I
use Solaris on Opteron myself.

Having looked at the source, the code shouldn't be hard. In fact, I can't see any
evidence of code that would be a problem. But the build system itself is a different
matter entirely. Getting the build system clean should make a lot more ports easy.

Exclamation Next OS = Windows

I think it should be Windows. Although it may pose a greater technical challenge your software could quickly become the exchange killer.

And of course we would appreciate the unique web interface!

Default rhel3

I know it is an older kernel, but we can't upgrade right now.
