Default Multiple MySQL Databases Question

I installed zimbra last night with no problems and am quite impressed by it. My situation is that I'd like to install alfresco for doc mgmt as well (http://www.alfresco.org/). It uses MySQL as well.

Is it advisable to use zimbra's installation of mysql for this purpose or will it create problems? In other words, how does one accomodate multimple mysql databases located on the same machine?

Default multiple mysql

I would use a separate instance - that way, you won't run into upgrade problems.

For multiple instances, just set up a different socket and port in my.cnf - you will probably be able to use a standard mysql install for alfresco, since we don't use the standard port (anymore).
