Default Bugzilla!

Have you checked our bug tracking system or our project status system? Both of your requests are already logged, and at least one of them (tasks) is going to be in 5.0.

You can set the time before the reminder for all the appointments if you wish:
Options tab> Calendar sub-tab> number of minutes before an appointment to show reminder

Bug 8854 - Support flexible alarm schedules for calendar appointments

You can certainly check out the beta! SourceForge.net: Zimbra Collaboration Suite
I'm not quite sure what you mean by the second sentence.

throw ?debug=1&gzip=false&mode=mjsf&app=tasks on the end of the url to open a debug window (change 1 to 2 & 3 as desired for more output)

or/and use a add-on like firebug to see some of the interaction

Some other things comming:
/products/roadmap.html (To name a few big ones: IM/Tasks/Briefcase/Delegated(shared) mailbox and mail folders/external IMAP account access)
/blog/archives/2007/08/zimbra_briefcase_1.html
/blog/archives/2007/07/izimbra.html (a little surprise)

Starting with 5.0 &dev=1 is the only flag that you need to add.
