Default Unread messages scan

After playing with the toaster app, and not having a great deal of success, I though that I could use our server pop-up messages (Novell Netware), and inform users of new or unread messages every few minutes. The server would do all the work, stopping me from having to install and maintain software on lots of PC's.

I've been having a look through the functionality of zmprov. I can see lots information about the user account, but can't see how many messages the user has and how many they have unread.

I also read a message on here about using SOAP, but no final code has been submitted as yet.

Can anyone give me some pointers.

If you're an admin with access to the server, you can use zmmailbox to get information on a user's mailbox contents.

Looks good, but I'm unsure of it syntax. The inbuilt help only goes so far.
Is this documented somewhere?

Ah, managed to get some more information from the command and managed to come up with the following command:

zmmailbox --zadmin --mailbox admin -v s 'in:inbox is:unread'

Now all I have to do now is get the server to send a message and cycle through all the email accounts.
