Default What's up with forum notification delays ?

I am receiving forum update notification emails for subscribed threads 2,3,4 or more days after the posting on the forum. This is not really what we want to see from our email server provider. Doesn't give the right impression. What is going on with them ?

I've reported this to the folks who maintain the forums. I haven't heard any update yet on getting it fixed.

Would be great if you could influence them a bit to get this sorted out.

    Hi,

I also received a email notification for a subscribed thread some minutes ago. The thread update was 5 days ago...

The email I received was generated today and delivererd within <1min judging from the SMTP Headers. Maybe the forum server itself has problems generating the mails in the first place...

    Regards
    Thomas

Yes, the problem with sending mail was fixed yesterday, and now *all* the last several months of queued mail has been sent out. It seems to be caught up now.
