Default Last Post column wider

Is it just me or does the text displayed in the last post seem shorter? If I expand the page across my whole 24" monitor I just get the Forum name made wider. it would be good to see more of the last post text. FF2.0.0.13 and Vista BTW

Default Quote and Quote+ Buttons Different

@p24t - We'll look into newer icons.
Some of the buttons changed recently, but the "Quote" and the "Quote +" icons next to each other use very different text for some reason?

No preference really for which one; just thinking they should be the same format presumably?

All the best,
Mark

Hi Folks,
Wants to give a quick update about some of the things you've mentioned.

Re: Less forum thread summaries on home page (latest post)
It might not seem like it, but it's the same. The real problem is that the columns are a little too fluid, rather than static like they were before. It's collapsing empty space, thus the cols are no longer aligned like they were before...so it looks smaller...but there's really just less empty space. Hope that makes sense.
Re: The quote icons: Yep. We're redoing the icons, and that one is one we haven't gotten to yet

I like the new quote/new post icons so far. They're much cleaner and easier to read.

Cool,
Thanks guys. I've updated some of the icons. Suggestions still welcome on any little annoyances, or feature requests.

John,

don't know how possible it would be, but how about some way of single clicking to add common fixes to problems ? For example we get a lot regarding DNS and it would be nice to be able to post a consistent reply of what should be checked. Like a knowledge base really.

Just a thought.

Hey uxbod,
heh, this was actually a hot topic back in the day. We had a wiki which was in utter disarray, and I wanted a knowledge base.

After a lot of internal discussion, I posted this blog entry:
http://www.zimbra.com/blog/archives/...iki_vs_kb.html

Eventually, we opted for a wiki only solution. The main reason, is that we want to keep the Open Source nature of collaboration. By moving to a KB, we remove one of our most powerful assets, you. A wiki is the embodiment of worldwide collaboration which is unparalleled in world history. So, to show our support for open standards and collaboration, we kept the wiki.

What we did do is add certified articles, and locked official docs pages. We have a great tech docs team who have just done a great job keeping that organized.

Now, I have been considering a newer feature: Keyword highlights. For example, if a post contains the word "zmprov" that isn't in quote or code brackets; if you mouse over, it will link to the zmprov wiki article, or do a GET for zmprov common commands.

I haven't worked out the details, and I probably would need to code it from scratch because only I know what I want

Suggestions welcome!
