What i see as the biggest problem for me is the fact that users cant update shared calendars that they are subscribed and have management acces to via ical. Does the development team have any eta on when this functionality will arrive in the isync connector?

You'll get this for free in Lepord when we implement CalDAV. To add this to the iSync connector I'd recommend filing an enhancement in bugzilla.

Sometime next year. Our plan is to use Apple iCal (in OS X 10.5) as our launch client so we'd like that to be released so we can ensure compatibility.
