Zimbra 7.1 beta and Google calendar sync

I installed Zimbra 7.0 and created a calendar with an ical connection to google calendars. It only works in 1 direction. I can get apointments to show up in Zimbra if created in Google, but not vice versa. If I try to create the apt. in the local calendar, it won't send to Google. If I try to create in the google calendar in Zimbra, it says event created, but nothing shows up either in Zimbra or Google. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
