Default Partial Sync
How can i change Apple Mail gmail account back to POP from IMAP? - Gmail Help

Google seems to support a partial sync. Is there anyway we can do that in ZCS 5 or ZCS 6?

The thread you linked is dealing with IMAP access to Gmail... what exactly is your question? Are you asking about the server only showing some folders to IMAP clients?
