Default iCal on Mac and Private Events

Is there a way of marking events as "private" in iCal?

After installing isync, I dont see a way of marking things as private.

I'm wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this? Is this missing functionality on the Mac? Is there a hidden way to enable it?

It looks like the client has that capability.

iCal, Mac OS X Server 10.5.3: Cannot create private events in hosted calendar

However, the isync setup doesnt detect the zimbra calendar as having that capability. Any help is appreciated

This seems to be an Apple bug. See Bug 30803 - Mac iCal changes private events to public

ewilen

That is an issue...my bigger concern was that you cannot even see the private checkbox in ical.

I hope the new version of OS X fixes that.

I think that's a reasonable hope given Apple's reply to the bug report and their general effort to make iCal/Mail more standards- and business- friendly.
