Default iSync now in public beta

The Apple iSync adaptor has now been published to the support portal. All Network Edition customers and trials who have support portal access may access and use the iSync adaptor. The latest version has improved integration with Entourage, see the release notes with the download for more details.

Please post any and all bugs/problems to bugzilla. Any general feedback both good and bad is encourage here on the forums. If there are other integrations or changes that would make Zimbra and Mac work better let us know!

Default iSync / Zimlet Mobile Agent

Just curious.
Would it be possible to create an iSync Agent for Phones or I guess a zimlet agent for phones that works like your iSync model for macs so that PIM info can be sync to Zimbra from Mobile ?

I guess the Java phones would be able to adopt it easily no ?

Later

How do you expect the phones to connect? Over-the-air? Does iSync work that way IMHO. I think you can do this today by just syncing with iSync to your Mac and then use Bluetooth to sync from your Mac to your phone.

All we need now is an Evolution connector and implement SyncML to have all bases covered

Default phone sync

Actually, what people generically want is a way to have the main source for their calendar on the server and sync to both their mac's (via iSync) and their phones (either Treo, WM5, etc.) to that calendar.

Those cases are covered today, and work quite well.
