iCal / CalDAV with Alarms

I have iCal setup to add a default alarm every 15 mins before each appointment. By default it is set to the type "Message with Sound". Unfortunately this alarm type doesn't get passed though to zimbra properly. Anyone know of a workaround? For now I'm manually creating the alarms which sucks.

I had recently switched from the old sync plug-in to CalDAV myself and noticed this. Has anyone made any headway on this??
