Back in April I was involved in an internal thread about the impact of the iSync to CalDAV switch on 10.5 and it was mentioned that support/customers would get a detailed explanation of the situation. I couldn't find anything relevant in the release notes. I've asked the developers for a follow-up on that thread. I will let everyone know what I get back and I'll also update my wiki page on Mac Issues. [ Ajcody-Notes - Zimbra :: Wiki ] I'll take the fault for this since I'm the one that raised the issue and didn't confirm it was done; sorry.

For the brave, you could always use connectors before the 5.0.6 release (on MacOS 10.5) . Since this would end in an unsupported situation [support staff and developers would tell a customer in a "support case" to upgrade to a new release] it would be best to encourage your users to keep a very clean and simple calendar as to avoid needed support. This might buy some time until the bugs mention above are resolved.

Thanks for the honesty AJ, but it isn't fair to throw the entire oversight on you .

I'm sure your customer base of Mac users is very small.

Thank you for your assistance and feedback!

Default Documentation bug filed

Bug 30627 – Document 10.5 cannot sync entourage to zcs

Documentation rfe/bug to add comment in release notes.

Another bit of information I picked up was the interaction between Entourage and iCal with the iCal calendar named Entourage is a Microsoft - Apple design. This isn't something Zimbra did, so we don't have any control to modify that behavior.

Question Pre-5.0.6 iSync connectors?

Is there a link for downloading the pre 5.0.6 iSync connectors. I have a couple scenarios (like this Entourage issue) where the Leopard/CalDAV only option won't work.

Thanks,
Chris

Default The link for pre 5.06 iSync connectors

That would be useful also for our organization; we're mostly Apple based and we're having a lot of trouble migrating to Zimbra.

I'll be another to drum up support for this to be sorted out soon. The whole idea we tried Zimbra rather than Exchange is because of the sync support between Mac and Windows.

Well, I have been able to get Entourage integration working in a round-about way.

1. Setup Entourage 2008 Prefs. to sync the appropriate calendar with iCal and .Mac

2. Verify the Entourage Calendar in iCal displays all of your appointments.

3. Goto your Zimbra web mail and create a new calendar named Entourage.

4. Subscribe that calendar to a remote address: webcal://ical.me.com/<username>/Entourage.ics

5. Manually sync everything one time and check. Then make sure everything is set to sync automatically.

Yes, you will need Exchange ActiveSync (Zimbra Mobile) setup to do it.
