iSync does not show or sync shared Contact subfolders

When I run iSync, it shows the top level shared contacts, but does not show or sync subfolders of them. This works fine in Outlook sync. Is it supposed to work in iSync?

BTW, I know that there are no folders in AB and have read forums posts related to this mismatch between AB Groups and Contract folders. Is there documentation on how this is handled? The only info I have been able to find on this is in the forums.
